What are the characteristics of the bumper 3M SJ5018 ?

The 3M SJ 5018 is an adhesive bumper made of polyurethane from the BUMPON range of the manufacturer 3M. This permanently resilient material was formulated especially for its high friction coefficient. It is non-slip and non-staining because of the absence of plasticizers.

Its pyramid shape of medium thickness can bear average weight objects and is more effective than hemispherical shaped bumpers. For heavier objects, use bumper SJ 5023, which is thicker.

This shape increases load resistance and diminishes the risk of cleavage and adhesive failure. Its wide and narrow top allow for better heat dissipation.

Its natural rubber adhesive is used for coloured bumpers and is characterised by excellent shock absorption and bonds on all types of surfaces, including plastic.

The applications of black adhesive bumper SJ 5018 are above all protection against various shocks and deterioration especially in the electronics industry or with appliances. Its shape makes it ideal for use with furniture. You can also use it as a spacer wedge for picture frames in order to have a more aesthetic and regular arrangement.

It is preferable to use them outdoors as their black colour is UV resistant.
