What are the characteristics of 3M 969 ?

3M 969 tape is a double-sided transfer tape manufactured by the compagny 3M, whose main feature is its very powerful acrylic adhesive (adhesive 300) : it has very strong initial bonding which enables it to bond to all types of substrates, including those with low surface energy.

This double-sided transfer tape is therefore used for :

• all textured surfaces
• foam
• leather
• textiles
• coated paper. In the case of coated paper, which consists of a sheet of paper coated with a thin pigment, it is described as difficult-to-bond. The formulation of 3M 969 enables bonding on this sort of varnished or coated surface and is therefore widely used in the printing industry but also in shaping and stationery operations.

Please note that exposure to UV rays is not recommended.

The 3M 969 is used with a dispenser (3M ATG 700) which ensures easy handling and effective application and allows for automatic removal of the liner.
