What are the characteristics of 3M 9087 ?
The 3M 9087 adhesive tape is a double-sided PVC tape from the scotch tape range of the manufacturer 3M, ideally suitable for rough surfaces. The white paper liner is printed with "3M" in green, which makes it easily identifiable.
Another of its strengths is that it can be torn by hand. This tape has excellent adhesion on a large variety of substrates, particularly those with low surface energy (PE and PP). Moreover, its significant thickness of 0.265 mm can help compensate for surface flatness deviations.
It is coated with an acrylic adhesive type 375 that is identical to the one used for the 3M 9088 adhesive tape, but the PVC backing material gives the 9087 better load capacity than the 9088, which has polyester backing material.
This double-sided tape is suitable for attaching light elements of all sorts of material, similar or different, in fields such as :
