What are the characteristics of 3M 5952 - 5925 ?

3M 5952 tape is a VHB acrylic foam adhesive developed by the company 3M. Its main advantage is that it bonds to surfaces painted with powder coating or epoxy paint.

Indeed, when you want to paint an aluminium box, it is not the aluminium that has to be bonded, but the powder coating. And powder coating, like plastic, has low surface energy and is difficult to bond. VHB 5952 (and 5925) enable you to assemble painted materials with a high level of performance.
