What is the TDA060 automatic tape dispenser?
The TDA060 is an automatic adhesive tape dispenser that feeds then cuts strips to a programmed length, with no operator action between two pick-ups. It takes tapes from 5 to 60 mm wide and cuts from 5 mm to 9,999 mm in 1 mm increments.
That span is what sets it apart. Across the whole range of electric adhesive tape dispensers in our catalogue, no other model covers both the few-millimetre patch and the several-metre strip. Eight lengths stay in memory, so moving from one format to another takes a single key rather than a full reprogramming.
A photoelectric cell at the outlet senses the tape and triggers the next feed as soon as the previous strip has been taken. The pressure roller adjusts to tape thickness and the feed speed is adjustable. At 1.75 kg and 137 x 215 x 169 mm the unit moves from one workstation to another one-handed.
Which adhesive tapes are compatible with the TDA060?
The TDA060 takes nearly every pressure-sensitive tape: cellophane, kraft paper, cloth, polypropylene, polyester, double-sided transfer tapes, filament tape, and double-sided acrylic foams. It also cuts non-adhesive materials such as tubing and ribbon in continuous cutting mode.
Three situations come back on the shop floor. Kitting and sub-assembly, where each part number calls for a different length and the eight memories save a setting at every change of batch. Electronics assembly, where the anti-static flame-retardant composite housing is a workstation requirement. Service and prototyping, where runs are short and varied.
Once volumes settle on a single reference, cutting upstream often beats cutting at the workstation: Adezif then supplies die-cut adhesive pieces ready to apply.
How to program the 8 cutting lengths of the TDA060?
Each of the eight memories is entered on the keypad through the four-digit LED display, in millimetres, from 5 to 9,999. The machine then recalls the required length by its memory number. A one-off length can be entered as an override and dropped again without erasing the memory in use.
Four operating modes are available: manual, automatic, basic and advanced. In automatic mode the strip is fed and cut as soon as the previous one is removed. An up or down counter keeps track of a quantity of strips. Two rolls can be loaded side by side, and the machine detects its own supply voltage.
The guillotine blade is rated for 200,000 cuts depending on the material, and the modular construction keeps downtime short when it is replaced. For tapes that unwind poorly a patented roll slide secures the feed. The three-in-one hub takes 25, 35 and 76 mm cores, for an outside diameter up to 190 mm; beyond that an external stand for large-diameter reels is required.
Which automatic tape dispenser to choose between the TDA060 and the other models?
The choice rests on the workstation profile rather than on raw performance. Each model in the range holds ground the others do not cover as well.
| Model | Tape width | Cutting length | Lengths in memory | Weight | Its ground |
| TDA060 | 5 to 60 mm | 5 to 9999 mm | 8 | 1.75 kg | Workstations that often change format and part number |
| ZCM1000 | 7 to 50 mm | 20 to 999 mm | 1 | 2.4 kg | Simple workstation repeating one single length |
| RT7000 | 6 to 60 mm | 5 to 999 mm | 6 | 2.5 kg | Large reels with no core limit and double-sided foams |
| TDA080 M | 6 to 80 mm | 40 to 9999 mm | 5 | 9.5 kg | Wide tapes and continuous production on a fixed station |
Above 60 mm wide the question does not arise: only the TDA080-M for wide adhesive tapes will take them, and its 9.5 kg metal frame is built to run continuously. If reels exceed 190 mm outside diameter or the core is unusual, the RT7000 with its unlimited core loading is the right model. If the workstation always cuts the same length, the ZCM1000 with a single cutting length does the job with fewer parameters to manage.
The TDA060 takes over as soon as a workstation juggles several formats in the same day, and particularly when short cuts under 40 mm sit alongside long strips.
Budget follows the same logic as use. The TDA060 is sized for a workstation, where the TDA080-M is a production-line investment meant to run continuously on wide tapes. For a quotation on your own reel and cutting-length configuration request a quote.
