What are the characteristics of the dual lock 3M 3870 ?

The Dual lock SJ 3870 is a self-gripping product from Dual Lock type 250 range (39 stems per cm²), manufactured by the company 3M. This new reference from 3M can be used both indoors and outdoors, even in very humid conditions.

Its other feature is its very conformable modified type VHB acrylic adhesive that bonds to most epoxy powder coating without primer. It can also bond, without primer, on high and medium surface energy surfaces like glass, acrylic, polycarbonate… Primer must be used on low surface energy surfaces such as polyester powder coating, polyethylene and polypropylene.

Please note that the dual lock SJ 3870 bonds to a great variety of surfaces with temperatures higher than the rubber adhesive and that it combines the high performance of the adhesive with the ability to conform to the irregularities of rigid and semi-rigid surfaces.

Like most of the DUAL LOCK references of the same thickness, the SJ 3870 can handle more than 1,000 openings and closings without an adverse effect on performance.
