What are the characteristics of 3M 2090 ?

3M 2090 tape is a single sided masking tape manufactured by the company 3M.

Its special feature is the composition of its synthetic acrylic adhesive that gives it high UV resistance, so it can be removed without residue from most surfaces after 14 days of intense sunlight or 1 month under normal conditions.

This tape is an essential product in the painter’s masking tape range that is used on smooth surfaces such as glass, tile, synthetic materials, wood or metal. The demarcation is clean, without drips or paint seepage.

It is highly suitable for slightly curved or rounded surfaces thanks to its conformability.

Another use of 3M 2090 : it is used to cover the printing table of 3D printers  in order to promote good adhesion of the first print layer.
