Description of ThreeBond TB1305 Threadlocker
ThreeBond TB 1305 is a solvent-free, anaerobic adhesive resin or reactive sealant that cures spontaneously when isolated from contact with air, between closely spaced metal surfaces (in contact with metal ions). Its field of application covers that of Loctite 577 anaerobic adhesive.
It has been specially developed for braking/locking and sealing threaded parts and metal fittings, or fixing press-fits.
With its high strength once cured, ThreeBond 1305 permanently locks and seals studs, miscellaneous nuts, bearings, gears and pulleys that will require little or no subsequent disassembly.
It prevents loosening when the system is subjected to vibrations, shocks or any leakage from damaged threads. The seal is reliable, with no risk of shrinkage at the assembly surfaces.
Application is easy, even in hard-to-reach places.
Advantages of ThreeBond TB 1305 threadlocking adhesive
- High strength: little or no subsequent shrinkage
- For studs and bolts
- Replaces the use of mechanical locking parts such as spring or toothed washers, nylon nuts, etc.
- Reduces the torque required
- Completely sealed against oil, water and most chemicals
- Excellent vibration resistance
Our advice: TB3095C activator can be used to ensure adequate curing and promote adhesion, and to accelerate polymerisation in the case of inert substrates or where there is excessive play.
For specific sealing problems, contact us for technical expertise (high pressures >70 bar, specific temperatures <150°C, regular dismantling, pneumatic connections, specific viscosities, etc.).
